Blue Mountain Hospital - The Summit is offering a junior volunteer training course for teens 13 and older who are enrolled in school and/or have graduated from high school this year.

An eight-hour training program will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 29 in the ground-floor activities room at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Blue Mountain Health System in Lehighton.Registration deadline is June 15. To obtain an application, call Sherry Strohl at 610-377-7206.The program will enable students to assist in various departments with filing, transporting residents, distributing ice water, making beds and participating in activities and outside events, such as picnics, field trips, etc.There is no cost to get involved and lunch will be provided. Space is limited so register early.
