Breakfast

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at Parryville Fire Co. No. 2, 359 Main St. Platter choices include eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast or SOS. Choice of meats are ham, sausage, scrapple or bacon. Also includes home fries, juice and coffee.

Basket raffle

Jerusalem United Church of Christ in Trachsville will hold its annual Basket Raffle & Bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. As well as baskets to be raffled, there will be holiday items and a bake sale. Food items to eat in or take out include soups, barbecue, hot dogs, halushki, filling and beverages. Plan to attend.

Craft fair

The fourth annual S.S. Palmer-Parkside PTO craft fair/vendor blender will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Palmerton Area High School Gym, 3524 Fireline Road. Shop from more than 40 local artists, crafters and vendors. Food will be available for purchase. There will be a basket social and door prize. Donations of nonperishable foods are being accepted as part of a schoolwide collection.

Knitting club

The Palmerton Area Library Knitting Club will meet at the library, 402 Delaware Ave., on Monday from 6-8 p.m. This is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting. Call 610-826-3424 for information.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville will hold two services on Sunday. The first at 9 a.m. is a contemporary service with God’s House Band. Following the service at 10 a.m. will be the annual congregational meeting. Please plan to attend this important meeting. During the 10:30 a.m. service an All Saints Day Remembrance will be observed.

Thanksgiving dinner

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 509 Hamilton St. in Bowmanstown will serve a free Thanksgiving dinner from 3-6 p.m. Saturday. Donations will be accepted. All are invited.

Fiber guild

The Blue Mountain Fiber Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Palmerton Area Library. This group explores all things related to fiber arts (spinning, weaving, etc.) Call 610-826-3424 for information.
