Two arrested on drug counts

Two people were arrested on drug counts, with one also having an active warrant of his arrest, in an incident in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on March 1 at 4:52 p.m. Kendal Librizzi, 21, who police said is homeless, and Michael Smith, 55, of Long Pond, entered Aharts Market, located along Route 940, in Blakeslee, and attempted to sell methamphetamines to employees before giving a 19-year-old woman a small amount of a controlled substance.Both suspects then left the store and were later contacted during a traffic stop. Librizzi was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Carbon County.Both were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy, both felonies; and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
