A Carbon County club has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Palmerton Post VFW Home Association, 2020 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, was cited for possession or operating gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries, pool selling, and/or bookmaking on the licensed premises.The offense occurred on June 15, 2016, and the citation was issued Dec. 21, 2016.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones.In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation.
