The building shares that parking lot with the Holiday Inn Express located a quarter mile from the Pennsylvania Turnpike entrance at Exit 95."We will be serving pizza, but we will specialize in homemade soups and food," Fox said. "We want it to be a nice family atmosphere."Fox is hoping to create eight to 10 jobs. The board asked what the impact of the restaurant with a liquor license might be in that area.Township code enforcement officer Bob Dobash responded, "The abandoned building is a nuisance. This will be a great improvement in the area."The restaurant seating will be limited by the number of assigned parking spaces, with 30 spaces dedicated to the restaurant. Dobash said that would mean that seating would be limited to about 60 occupants. The supervisors also approved an extension to the Lake Shore Development plan through Dec. 21, 2018, as well as agreeing to submit the revised Zoning and SALDO (Subdivision and Land Development) ordinances to Carbon County Planning Commission for review. The township will be holding its reorganization meeting on Jan. 3.
