Incumbent Rosemary Brown easily defeated Damery Bonilla to keep her seat in the 189th District representing Monroe County.

Unofficial totals were 10,841 for Brown, a Republican, with Democrat Bonilla getting 6,261.The 189th District includes Barrett, Hamilton, Middle Smithfield, Ross and Smithfield townships; Stroud Township's 7th precinct; Delaware Water Gap; and Pike County's Delaware, Lehman and Porter townships.Republican Jack Rader was unopposed for a two-year term in the 176th District, which includes Chestnuthill, Eldred, Jackson, Pocono, Polk, Tobyhanna, and Tunkhannock townships, and Mount Pocono.Also in Monroe County, Democrat Maureen Madden narrowly defeated incumbent David Parker in the 115th District, representing the Stroudsburg area. Madden had 11, 278 votes and Parker, a Republican, had 10,437 votes.
