Carbon County court

Two defendants were revoked from Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program while another had her parole revoked recently following hearings on petitions filed by the adult probation office for violating the conditions of their release.

Matthew Kirton, 38, of Lehighton, was revoked from the ARD program on a charge of possession of marijuana on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, absconded from his approved residence, failing to pay court costs and fees and failing to perform 50 hours of community service.Judge Joseph J. Matika ruled the revocation would be effective Dec. 15. However, if Kirton pays his court costs and fees in full by that date and completes the 50 hours of community service, the revocation order will be vacated.Austin Joe Miller,21, of Lehighton, was revoked from the ARD program on petition of probation officer Derek George on a charge of simple assault for violating conditions by being charged with a new criminal offense and not paying his court costs and fees.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic ordered his case be placed on the next available trial list.Parole revokedBrandice Boner, 36, of Nesquehoning, had her parole revoked on a charge of corruption of minors on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs and failing to complete outpatient therapy at RedCo.Matika ordered her to serve three months backtime in the county prison effective Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. However, if she completes her mental health treatment and pays $213 on her court costs plus her regular monthly payment by that day, the order will be vacated.
