A Navy veteran who successfully completed two waterborne veteran memorials in two boroughs in Carbon County is looking to install a third one in Nesquehoning.

Robert "Ski" Siesputowski of Summit Hill, who is a member of the Carbon County Navy Club, has been spearheading the installation of memorials honoring those who served or are serving in the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Marines and Merchant Marine. So far, he has completed memorials in Summit Hill and Lansford.Siesputowski said that he is combining his efforts with the Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008 and is currently looking for donations to help offset the costs of the memorial, which is expected to be installed near the VFW memorial early next year."The price for the plaque, stone and everything else is between $1,100 and $1,200," Siesputowski said.
