Live Free Ride Alive will be sponsoring a booth at the Pennsylvania 400 this weekend.

The LFRA will host a booth at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond from July 29-31 during the race, where attendees can view the program website and receive education about motorcycle safety issues.LFRA is a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation motorcycle safety program that aims to reduce crashes and fatalities by providing educational material to riders.They focus on getting riders to take control of their own personal safety through measures such as adhering to speed limits and avoiding intoxication from drugs or alcohol while riding.In addition, they stress the importance of proper licensing for riders, as well as encouraging the use of protective gear such as helmets.The LFRA website features a short documentary about the programs goals, rider-submitted videos and stories revolving around their respective loves and losses in the motorcycle world.Links and posts on instructional courses throughout the state are available as well."We have different classes for all sorts of riders, from those who just got their license to people who have ridden for 20 years, and they're all free. Other states offer similar programs, but they charge a fee," says PennDOT spokesman Sean Brown.Visitors can also participate in the "Be One Less" campaign, in which riders pledge to not be a crash statistic to honor those who have been killed and injured in crashes.
