Beatrice Burbes, a resident of Hometown Nursing Center, Hometown, and formerly of Lehighton, is celebrating her 104th birthday.

She was born on July 17, 1912. She is the mother of two sons: Bruce Fritzinger of Lehighton, who is married to Charlotte; and Elmer, who passed away in 2001 in Florida.She is the wife of the late Lewis Burbes, who passed away in 1979.Beatrice always loved going out to eat and shopping. She also enjoyed tending her flowers. She was also a great baker.Her family will celebrate her birthday at the Hometown Nursing Center.
