Judge Joseph J. Matika sentenced the following defendants in Carbon County court Tuesday on drunken driving charges:

Reynold Guerrier, 55, of Mount Carmel, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension, and render 25 hours of community service. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia he was placed on probation for a year, concurrent with the DUI charge.Guerrier was arrested on Nov. 19, 2015, along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance. He began the jail term immediately.Earl Roneed Blagman, 39, of Williamsport was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, and render 25 hours of community service. On a possession of drug paraphernalia charge he was placed on probation for a year, consecutive to the DUI count.He was arrested on Sept. 21, 2015, along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He will begin the jail term at 9 a.m. July 8.Michelle Lee Yurkanin, 29, of Hazleton, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, one-year license suspension, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render a total of 50 hours of community service. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia she was placed on probation for a year, consecutive to the DUI count.She was arrested on Nov. 15, 2014, along Route 93 by Nesquehoning police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She is currently an inmate in the Lackawanna County prison and is facing a probation revocation hearing in Luzerne County, it was noted.Glenn M. Sanford,54, of Albrightsville, was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service. Sanford was arrested on Dec. 31, 2015, along Route 534 by Kidder Township police. A test showed 0.16 BAC.Michael Paul Zwiesdak, 66, of Lansford was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail followed by 50 months in the county's Intermediate Punishment Program with the first 60 days on electronic monitoring, pay a fine of $1,500, license suspended for 18 months, render 100 hours of community service and zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use. He was given credit for 30 days spent in an inpatient rehab program and paroled.Zwiesdak was arrested on Aug. 17, 2015, by Lansford police along Bertsch Street. He refused a blood test.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole and follow any recommendations of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
