Brandon M. Dunbar, O.D., of Jim Thorpe received his doctor of optometry degree from Salus University, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, during commencement services held at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia on May 26. He earned a 3.93 GPA.

Dunbar is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.A 2012 honors graduate of Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in biology and minor in chemistry, emphasis on pre-med, and 2008 valedictorian of Jim Thorpe Area High School, Dr. Dunbar has accepted a position as an optometrist with Walnutport Family Eye Care/Wind Gap Family Eye Care.He is also a Pennsylvania-licensed Realtor currently working at Mary Enck Realty in Albrightsville.Dr. Dunbar is the son of Ron and Jean Dunbar of Jim Thorpe, and grandson of the late Marvin and Charlotte Kemmerle, formerly of Jim Thorpe, and the late Myron and Loretta Dunbar formerly of Lehighton.
