Man gets 15-30 years in killing of Coaldale Marine

A man who earlier this year admitted his role in the killing of a 24-year-old Marine has been sentenced to a lengthy jail term.

Oliver Luis Trizarri, 22, formerly of Reading, was sentenced to 15-30 years in prison on Monday, for his role in the January 2014 murder of Coaldale resident Corey Samuels.Judge John E. Domolakes actually sentenced Trizarri to two 15-30 year terms, but they will be served concurrently. He was also given credit for 533 days time served because he has been incarcerated since last February, when he was charged in Samuels' death. His arrest came about a year after Samuels disappeared in January 2014. The body of the 24-year-old Marine was discovered in September 2014.Trizarri's co-defendant, 19-year-old Stanley Kralik, is awaiting sentencing after a jury found him guilty of third-degree murder in the case last week.During that trial, Trizarri testified that Kralik came up with the idea to kill Samuels.Trizarri pleaded guilty on Feb. 19 to third-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. The plea was reportedly part of a deal with prosecutors that required him to testify against Kralik at trial. In exchange, prosecutors agreed not to pursue first-degree murder charges against Trizarri.Kralik will be sentenced at a later date.
