Two defendants entered pleas before Judge Joseph J. Matika on Tuesday in the Carbon County court.

Francis D. Blasko Jr., 28, of Coaldale, and formerly of Lansford, pleaded to one count of theft.He was charged by Summit Hill police with stealing $1,300 in cash from Michelle Midas and Ian Miller of Summit Hill, who were friends and who let him into their home.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he make restitution of $1,300, render 50 hours of community service and have no contact with the victims.Miranda Rachael Jones, 18, of Palmerton, and formerly of Lansford, pleaded to one count of false reports.Lansford police charged her with an incident on Sept. 22, 2015, along East Ridge Street where she gave a false report about an alleged assault incident.Matika placed her on probation for six months and ordered her to render 25 hours of community service.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
