A petition is being circulated in Lehighton to be forwarded to Harrisburg, asking that a state store for the sale of liquor be established in Lehighton.Reports now are that Carbon County is to have three stores, one each at Palmerton, Mauch Chunk and Lehighton.Lehigh and Northampton counties have five stores each. According to tentative locations announced by the liquor control board at Harrisburg, Allentown will have three stores and Emmaus and Slatington will have one each.
