A special meeting called for by West Penn Township's board of supervisors never transpired Thursday night.
According to the meeting agenda, the board was scheduled to review and adopt the sewage facilities grant resolution/application, and to discuss general purpose items. But, supervisors never opened the meeting due to the absence of board Chairman Jim Dean. After about a 50-minute wait, the decision was made to not hold the meeting.Supervisor Tony Prudenti said the board chose not to conduct the meeting because one of the specific items listed on the agenda was an oath of office that Dean had to give. The oath of office was to swear in Harvey Lenhart as a member of the fire police, which was the only other item listed on the agenda aside from the grant resolution for the sewage plan.
