Teens in photo with lineup of dead animals cited over deaths

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Five Pennsylvania teens who posed for a photo around a lineup of dead and bloody small animals - including opossums, raccoons and bullfrogs - have been cited for bludgeoning some of the creatures to death.

Wildlife Conservation Officer Jason Kelley tells the Bloomsburg Press Enterprise (http://bit.ly/28QGqiR ) the teens didn't have a clear explanation for why they killed the animals June 7.He says after one the teens posted the photo to Instagram, the commission started to get complaints.The animals included two beaten opossums, a raccoon, 10 frogs, two pigeons and a snake. They told officials that the raccoon was roadkill.The teens were cited for various infractions, some for unlawfully killing an opossum or possessing a bullfrog out of season.
