volunteers neededThe Panther Valley Public Library is in need of dependable adult volunteers who can help 3 hours a week. A criminal and child abuse backgrounds are required.For more information, call the library at 570-645-3780 and leave a message.Golden AgersThe Panther Valley Golden Agers met on June 13. Many of those attending wore red, white or blue to commemorate Flag Day. Patriotic songs were led by Ruth Ann Feane.Special guest speakers were Ryan Christiansen and Deb Mertz from St. Luke's Miners Campus, who spoke on respiratory and sleep disorders.Suggestions were made to help get a good night's sleep.The next meeting will be held Monday at St. John Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall beginning at 1:30 p.m. due to the children's lunch program.Also, St. Ann Church is scheduled for demolition and may result in changes. Members will be notified of any changes for meetings. Bingo is scheduled to be played.
