As part of the Lehighton 150th celebration, a Kangaroo Court will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Shriners' Hillbilly's Clan #9 will proceed over the most outrageous session of court you have ever seen!Court is in session at 1:30 p.m., with a guilty verdict by 2.Also on Saturday,a Hoosegow will take place from noon to 5 p.m.Built by the Shriners from the Carbon County Shrine Club, this makeshift jail will be used to incarcerate anyone who the sheriff thinks may have broken the hoosegow law.Residents and visitors can file complaints with the sheriff to have loved ones and friends thrown in the hoosegow.After paying a small fine and winning a prize, the charges will be dropped (hopefully) and the offender should be released.
