Valor House honors one of their own

Earlier this week Valor House in Polk Township lost a friend and family member.

Harry Phillips was a resident at the veteran's shelter.Phillips, a sailor with the U.S. Navy, will be honored this Saturday as his cremains will be brought to Paul's House at the clinic for a service at 5 p.m.A flag line will form at the Gower Funeral Home in Brodheadsville at 4:45 p.m.A motorcycle entourage will transport the cremains along Route 209 to Route 534 to the former Jonas Hotel, which is now known as Paul's House.Valor Clinic is asking anyone who would like to participate to stand along the route waving an American flag from 4:45 to 5 p.m.Phillips' cremains will be laid to rest at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on June 20. A motorcycle escort will be leaving Paul's House at 11 a.m. and will take Routes 209 to 33 to 78 to Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Interment will take place at 1 p.m.
