The A.D. TIMES, newspaper of the Diocese of Allentown, has received four awards in the Catholic Press Association 2016 Catholic Press Awards.

• First place (tie) for best news writing originating with the paper on a local or regional event was awarded for "Cardinal Dolan enlivens faith in the valley" by Staff Writer Tami Quigley in the Nov. 26, 2015 issue.• First place for best sports photo was awarded for "On the floor" by Photographer Ed Koskey in the March 19, 2015, issue. The photo from the state CYO basketball tournament hosted by the Diocese of Allentown captured Kate Sixsmith of St. Thomas More, Allentown.• Second place for best editorial on a local issue was awarded for "Abortion and the eighth commandment" by Monsignor Andrew Baker in the Jan. 22, 2015, issue.• Honorable mention for best photo story originating with a Newspaper was awarded for "Holy Week" in the April 16, 2015, issue. The nine-page photo spread featured liturgical and devotional Holy Week events, including St. Joseph Church of Summit Hill.
