The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation expects traffic in Jim Thorpe to be delayed over the next two weeks as milling and paving work takes place along Route 209.
Lane restrictions between Route 903 and Liberty Road will occur weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. until June 24.
There may be restrictions on Saturday if it rains during the week.
The work is part of the ongoing project to build a new Route 903 Jim Thorpe Memorial Bridge over the Lehigh River, Lehigh Canal, Reading Blue Mountain Northern Railroad and Norfolk Southern Railroad. The project began in February 2014 and the new bridge is expected to open in early July.
