Carbon County court - DUI

Four defendants entered guilty pleas to driving under the influence on Friday in Carbon County court.

Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted pleas from the following:Susan Lee Meke,64, of Morrisville, Bucks County, was arrested on Nov. 21, 2015, along Route 903 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed 0.14 BAC.A first offense, she was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300, render 25 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation and follow all recommendations of her drug and alcohol evaluation.Walter Frank Kunsman Jr.,32, of Lehighton, was arrested on Nov. 4, 2015, along Catawissa Street by Nesquehoning police after his vehicle struck parked vehicles. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred.Kelly Lynn Brinker,37, of Allentown, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2015, along Patterson Street by Lansford police. A test showed 0.22 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation.Louis F. Buono II,53, of Trenton, New Jersey, was arrested on Dec. 31, 2015, along Route 54 by Nesquehoning police after being involved in a hit-and-run. A test showed 0.25 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so he could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
