Four defendants who previously pleaded guilty to driving under the influence charges were sentenced on Monday in Carbon County court.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II imposed sentences on the following:Kurt M. Eckhart, 28, of Allentown, and formerly of Palmerton, was sentenced to serve 30 days to six months in prison, a fine of $1,500 and one-year license suspension. He was given credit for 30 days spent in an inpatient rehabilitation program and paroled.Eckhart said he is currently in a recovery house in Allentown and continues counseling sessions.Eckhart was arrested on Oct. 6, 2015, in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. Police responded to a report of a crash involving parked vehicles. Eckhart was found unconscious in his vehicle. A test showed 0.40 BAC.Tasha Marie Zebrosky, 32, of Hazleton, was sentenced to serve 30 days in prison followed by 59 months in the county's Intermediate Punishment Program, with the first two months on electronic monitoring.She was arrested on Nov. 25, 2015, along Maury Road in Penn Forest Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia she was fined $500 and costs.She will begin the jail term at 7 a.m. June 7 and serve it on consecutive three-day increments.Robert D Rex, 58, of Lansford, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,500 and a one-year license suspension. On a possession of drug paraphernalia charge he was placed on probation for a year, consecutive to the DUI term.He was arrested on Aug. 3, 2015, along Coal Street by Lehighton police. He refused a blood test.He will begin the jail term at 3 p.m. on May 31.James A. Aldio Jr., 36, of Walnutport was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000 and a one-year license suspension.He was arrested on Feb. 23, 2014, along Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He began the jail term immediately.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
