The Carbon County Commissioners met with a group of six county tax collectors and discussed various problems with which they are plagued.

The tax collectors who appeared were Geza Holczman of Palmerton; George Aubrey of Summit Hill; Anna Kuhla of Jim Thorpe; William Brown of Weissport; Andrew Bolish of Packer Township, and Andrew Stockmal, Mauch Chunk Township.They complained they are often unable to learn the place of employment of people so that wages could be attached for nonpayment of taxes. The commissioners said the tax collectors could seize the personal property of delinquent taxpayers and put it up for public sale.
