A Carbon County man admitted driving under the influence with an infant in his vehicle.

He entered a guilty plea in the county court on Thursday before Judge Joseph J. Matika.Zack Daniel Beddiges, 25, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count each of DUI and endangering the welfare of a child.Beddiges was stopped on Oct. 25, 2014, along Berwick Street by Beaver Meadows police. At the time of the stop he had a 1-year-old child in the vehicle. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Matika deferred sentencing so Beddiges could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the county's Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.
