Carbon County Commissioners approved a number of personnel moves on Thursday:

• Resignation: Ann Marie Bossard of Palmerton, part-time cleaning person, buildings and grounds, effective May 27.• Hiring: Leonard J. Ogozalek of Summit Hill and Zachary J. Stromelo of Nesquehoning as summer laborers for the Liquid Fuels Summer Program, effective May 23.• Hiring: Cory A. Young of Lehighton as a summer laborer for the Liquid Fuels Summer Program, effective June 1.• Hiring of Bailey D. Becker of Albrightsville and John P. McCole of Nesquehoning as summer laborers for the Liquid Fuels Summer Program, effective June 13.• Change of status: Christine M. LeClair of Lansford, from part-time customer service clerk to domestic relations specialist I, domestic relations, effective June 7.Other businessThe commissioners also acted on the following items:• Appoint Lawrence J. Suravicz of Weatherly to serve on the Agricultural Land Preservation Board. Suravicz replaces Michael Troutman and will serve until April 10, 2018.• Commissioner Thomas J. Gerhard announced that Trinity Lutheran Church in Lehighton gave the Carbon County Animal Shelter a $1,000 donation; and the monthly clothing drive netted $448.40 last month.
