Ametek gives $5K to fire company

Ametek Chemical Products Division, located in Nesquehoning, recently presented $5,000 to the Nesquehoning Hose Company No. 1.

The fire company has provided emergency services to the Nesquehoning community for more than 100 years, and Ametek officials greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication of its many volunteers.Ametek's donation will be used for lighting upgrades to the fire company's 2002 KME engine, which is the primary response unit for fires at manufacturing, production and other large facilities in the community.Previous Ametek donations have been used for truck body repairs, front and rear spring replacements and loan payments for the purchase of a new aerial truck.The Ametek Foundation has served, since 1960, as the principal funding entity for the charitable contributions of Ametek Inc. The foundation, which supports a wide range of programs and initiatives in communities in which Ametek operates, places a special emphasis on programs that support education, health, welfare, civic and social needs.
