Carbon County veterans expo planned on June 11

Carbon County veterans will be able to find services that are available to them, obtain help building resumes and raise awareness about issues they face next month in Lehighton.

State Rep. Doyle Heffley will be hosting the Carbon County Veterans' Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 11 in the upper park, 1 Constitution Ave., Lehighton.The day will kick off with a Lehighton Veterans Recognition 5K walk, organized by the Keystone Warriors, a nonprofit corporation that seeks to honor men and women in all branches of the military, but specifically those wounded on or after Sept. 11, 2001.Walkers of all ages are welcome to participate and running is allowed.
