Powder puff game
Members of Tamaqua Area High School's Class of 2016 and the Biology Club will sponsor a Powder Puff Football game today, Thursday, to benefit the family of Keith Oliphant.The game will begin at 6 p.m. in the Tamaqua Football Stadium.'Gypsy' auditionsAs soon as the Tamaqua Area Community Theatre finishes presenting its production of "Cinderella - Retold as a Musical," the group will start on its next production, "Gypsy."Auditions will be held from 6-8 p.m. May 22 and from 6-9 p.m. May 23 at the Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St. Speaking, singing and dancing roles will be available. Cast members ages 6 and older are needed. Tap/jazz shoes will be required.Crew members are also needed.The musical production will be performed at the art center on Aug. 5 and Aug. 6."Cinderella" will be presented at 7
