Minor injuries in Walker crash

State police at Frackville reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday along Wildcat Road in Walker Township, near Tamaqua.

Troopers said Clyde S. Heisler, 80, of Northampton, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina westbound and traveling down a curved road when he failed to negotiate a slight left curve. The car went onto the north berm where it struck several trees with the front end. The car came to rest wedged between several trees.Heisler was able to crawl out the passenger side and walked to a nearby residence where he called police. Troopers said he suffered minor injuries in the crash and was wearing a seat belt. The car was towed from the scene.
