More than 100 well-wishers and a dozen former Golden Deed recipients saw Mrs. Carolyn "Peg" Siller of Palmerton receive the Golden Deeds Awards from the Palmerton Exchange Club.

She was the 33rd recipient of the award bestowed upon deserving residents of the Palmerton area for performing good deeds, living unselfishly, faithfully discharging civic duties and for making numerous sacrifices.Siller was recognized for her volunteer efforts, including those directed to the Palmerton Hospital, Palmerton Meals on Wheels, the senior citizens' luncheon program, borough bloodmobiles, the Over-60 Club and the Palmerton Visiting Nurse Association.
