Nine people charged with driving under the influence entered guilty pleas in Carbon County court on Tuesday.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II accepted the pleas from the following:Christine Lotis, 50, of Bath, was arrested on Oct. 15, 2015, along Route 443 in East Penn Township by state police at Lehighton following an crash, in which she fled the scene. A charge of fleeing and eluding, a felony three, was dropped in a plea bargain. However, in exchange for the plea bargain Lotis must serve a much longer time than the mandatory minimum on the DUI charge. At the time of sentencing the plea agreement is for her to serve 30 days rather than 48 hours.Nanovic deferred sentencing so Lotis could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Kurt M. Eckhart,28, of Palmerton, was arrested on Oct. 6, 2015, in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. Police responded to a report of an accident involving parked vehicles. Eckhart was found unconscious in his vehicle. A test showed 0.40 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Eckhart can provide documentation of his stay in a inpatient rehab facility.Robert David Rex,58, of Lansford, was arrested on Aug. 3, 2015, along Coal Street by Lehighton police. He refused a blood test. He also pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.Nanovic deferred sentencing so Rex can obtain a D&A evaluation.Jonathan Bruce Honey, 25, of Lansford, was arrested on Sept. 11, 2015, along Bankway in Lehighton by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.Nanovic deferred sentencing so Honey can obtain a comprehensive D&A evaluation.Bernard D. Boyle,64, of East Greenville, Montgomery County, was arrested on Aug. 29, 2015, by state police at Lehighton along Maury Road in Franklin Township. A test showed 0.11 BAC.Nanovic placed him on probation for a year and ordered he pay a fine of $300, court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.Tasha Marie Zebrosky, 32, of Hazleton, was arrested on Nov. 25, 2015, along Maury Road in Penn Forest Township by state police at Lehighton. A test result showed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Zebrosky could apply for placement in the Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.Paul Mathews II,28, of Bartonsville, was arrested on April 8, 2007, along Route 902 in Penn Forest Township by state at Lehighton. A test showed 0.13 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Mathews can get a D&A evaluation.Richard A. Neaus,52, of Nuremberg, Schuylkill County, was arrested on June 11, 2015, along North First Street by Mahoning Township police. Police responded to a hit-and-run incident in which Neaus was involved. A test showed 0.23 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Neaus can obtain a D&A evaluation.Andrew Peter Depalma, 54, of Lehighton, was arrested on July 2, 2015, along Route 248 at Bowmanstown by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Depalma could apply for placement in the IPP.
