The Friends of the Beltzville State Park will kick off the spring edition of the "Beltzville on the Move" program this Saturday.

Beltzville on the Move is a way for any member of the public to track their progress running, biking, kayaking, or doing basically any other recreational activity in the park.

Participants can log their progress at the group's website,

www.fobsp.org.Not only can people track their own progress, they can compare it to other participants in a friendly competition. At the end of each quarter, awards are presented.At Saturday's event, awards will be given for the winter season before participants get their first chance to log miles for the spring.The event will be held at the State Park's Environmental Interpretive Center, located at 2950 Pohopoco Dr., Lehighton, Pa.For more information about Friends of Beltzville State Park, or Beltzville on the Move, visit
