The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation will lead a presentation on "Post-Secondary Opportunities: Get Ready for College or a Career" from 6-8 p.m. at Jim Thorpe Area High School on April 4.

The OVR provides vocational rehabilitation services to help persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, or maintain employment.Agencies attending include Carbon County Mental Health and Development Services, Anthracite Region Center for Independent Living, Career Link of Carbon County, FACT-Family and Child Together ARC of Carbon County, Human Resources Center Inc., Lehigh Carbon Community College, Access Services, AHEDD, CARES-Day Program and Employment Specialists, Carbon Training Center, CLIU/Heart-Helping Everyone Access Resources Together.Carbon Career & Technical Institute, Jim Thorpe Area School District, Lehighton Area School District, Palmerton Area School District, Panther Valley Area School District and Weatherly Area School District are sponsoring the event.
