AN EASTER BLESSING

Members of the Carbon County Ancient Order of Hibernians met in Jim Thorpe on Wednesday morning to put together Easter baskets for needy families in Carbon County.

The baskets contain everything needed for an Easter feast, including a ham, vegetables, potatoes and even dessert. Included in the baskets were also goodies for children and stuffed toys.The AOH put together 10 baskets that were delivered to Catholic churches in Carbon County. Each of the churches then distribute them to a needy family in their parish.The organization also puts together baskets for Thanksgiving and gives out gift cards at Christmastime.
