Popular Christian recording artists Wes Hampton and Charlotte Ritchie will be featured in a special evening of worship and celebration Tuesday at the Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive in Cherryville.

The concert event begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society Telethon, which will take place April 9-10.For the past decade, Hampton has served as one of the beloved members of the popular Gaither Vocal Band. He has won the hearts of fans with his pleasing personality and soulful tenor vocal tones.Before joining the band, he served as minister of worship at The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama. He and his wife, Andrea, make their home in Birmingham with their four young boys.In addition to sharing the stage with the Vocal Band, Wes enjoys performing a considerable number of solo concert events each year.With two solo recordings to his credit, he has firmly established his place among Christian music's most talented vocalist.Ritchie's velvety voice has become a favorite among Gospel music audiences throughout North America.She is a regular guest on the Gaither Homecoming Video and Concert Series and is also a special guest with the Gaither Vocal Band during their concert events.She was first introduced to "Gaither Homecoming" viewers and listeners more than a decade ago during her years as a vocalist with Jeff & Sheri Easter.Before her years with the Easters, she gained national attention as the talented soprano for the legendary Gospel Music Hall of Fame group, The Nelons.Since embarking upon her solo career in 2008, Ritchie has enjoyed tremendous success with five recordings to her credit, including her latest, "A Beautiful Life."Charlotte and her husband, Greg, who serves as drummer for the Gaither Vocal Band, make their home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, with their two children.For more information visit
