A Lehighton man pleaded guilty in Carbon County court on Thursday to resisting arrest. He was one of two defendants to enter a plea before Judge Steven R. Serfass.

Flees officersRandy Dean Fisher Jr.,36, pleaded to the resisting charge and a summary offense of disorderly conduct in exchange for a charge of fleeing to avoid apprehension dropped.Fisher was arrested on June 24, 2015, when Lehighton police went to Memorial Park to serve multiple warrants for his arrest. Police had received information that Fisher was in the park.Fisher fled, and following a short chase police caught up with him. He then struggled with the officers while being taken into custody.Serfass sentenced Fisher to serve six to 23 months in prison with credit for 267 days already served paroling him. He was also ordered to render 100 hours of community service. On the conduct count he was fined $300.Drug countJustin Michael Snyder,24, of Danielsville, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on Sept. 29, 2015, by Lehighton police at the Garden of Gypsy Hill Apartments. Police responded to the apartments on another matter and found Snyder with the paraphernalia.He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and render 50 hours of community service.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
