Community dinner
St. Mark's Episcopal Church will hold its free community dinner from 4-6 p.m. March 20.The meal for this month will be an Easter ham dinner. For more information, call the church at 570-325-2241.Baskets of PromiseThe Youth Group and Sunday school of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, are participating in the Baskets of Promise campaign during the season of Lent.They are collecting various hygiene items until Palm Sunday, March 20. Items they are looking for are bars of soap, any brand and in original packaging; bath towels, dark colors recommended; toothbrushes; combs; nail clippers; etc.For more information, contact Bonnie Hoffman, Jean Dunbar or the church office.Final devotionThe Wednesday Lenten exchange programs for St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue and North Street, will have the final chapter conversation this week at St. John's on North Street.The Rev.
