Michael F. Batovsky Jr., Jim Thorpe, has been appointed personnel analyst 1 in the Carbon County Office of Aging.

The county commissioners unanimously approved the recommendation of Albert M. Petrole, executive director of that agency, during a meeting held in Courtroom No. 2 of the courthouse in Jim Thorpe.Batovsky's salary was set at $12,675 per year, this being an appointment under the Civil Service Commission.A son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael F. Batovsky Sr., the new appointee served as a guidance counselor with the Panther Valley School District.
