A 14-year-old Ohio teen was killed early Friday morning when the vehicle he was a passenger in crashed along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannok Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge did not release the name of the victim but said he was a rear-seat passenger in a 2008 Honda Civic that crashed at 3:50 a.m.According to troopers, Frenci De La Cruz, 23, of Columbus, Ohio, was eastbound when the vehicle went onto the south berm, rolled over and struck a tree.De La Cruz and front seat passenger Frenlly De La Cruz, 20, also of Columbus, were taken to Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where they were treated for moderate injuries.The victim was pronounce dead at the scene. No one was wearing a seat belt, troopers noted. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
