Historian and author Tom Huntington will visit the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum, 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown, at 1 p.m. Saturday to speak about his book, "Searching for George Gordon Meade: The Forgotten Victor of Gettysburg."

Huntington will chronicle his journey of discovery as he investigated Meade's vanishing reputation. He became fascinated by Gen. Meade after reading an article on forgotten Civil War generals.Huntington has authored four books and is the former editor of American History and Historic Traveler magazines. Copies of his book will be available for purchase, and the author will sign copies following the presentation.Admission is free to members.
