A Carbon County man pleaded guilty to a criminal trespass count in the county court on Friday and was immediately sentenced to a prison term.

He was one of seven defendants to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.Lehighton incidentTimothy Keith Moser, 46, of Weissport, was arrested on the charge by Lehighton police for an incident on July 11, 2013, at 117 S. Railroad St. In a plea bargain a charge of burglary was dropped.Moser said he has had a long struggle with drug addiction but addressed it by successfully completing a long-term inpatient program run by the Salvation Army. Moser said he would recommend the program to anyone with a drug problem. He said, "I came out with a new outlook on life."Matika sentenced him to serve one day less 12 to one day less 24 months in prison. With time spent in prison, and for time spent in the Salvation Army program, Matika gave him credit for 435 days and paroled him. Moser was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, noting a report from the Salvation Army would be sufficient, zero tolerance imposed on drug and alcohol use, supply a DNA sample and render 50 hours of community service.Other pleasOther defendants entering pleas included:Janine April Ringlaben, 25, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to two counts of retail theft in separate incidents.She pleaded to an incident on Dec. 16, 2014, at Redner's Market in Nesquehoning, where she stole $67.99 worth of merchandise. The second offense occurred on April 30, 2015, at the Walmart Store in Mahoning Township, where she took $586.21 worth of merchandise, which was recovered. She was originally placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program in the Nesquehoning case but was revoked for violating conditions.Matika placed her on probation for a year on both counts, running concurrently, and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, render 50 hours of community service and supply a DNA sample.Dale Allen Fink, 28, of Jim Thorpe pleaded to one count of retail theft for an incident on Sept. 5, 2015, at the Family Dollar Store in Palmerton. He was previously placed in the ARD program but was revoked for violating conditions.Matika placed him on probation for six months and ordered he render 25 hours of community service.Michael Steven Cardone, 29, of Lehighton, pleaded in two pending cases to one count each of retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on the theft count on July 20, 2015, at Boyer's Market in Lansford. He was arrested on the drug charge on Sept. 3, 2015, by Mahoning Township police following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Mauch Chunk Street.Sentencing was deferred as Cardone has two other pending criminal counts. He is an inmate in the county prison. Matika also ordered a presentence investigation report be prepared by the adult probation office.Elizabeth Ann Malarkey, 24, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of criminal attempt-retail theft. She was arrested on Jan. 28, 2015, at Redner's Market by Nesquehoning police.Matika placed her on probation for a year and ordered her to render 50 hours of community service.Shawn Vincent Sitarchyk, 41, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of receiving stolen property. He was arrested by Mahoning Township police following a traffic stop on Sept. 1, 2015. He was a passenger in the vehicle and was found in possession of a Wishing Well ornament that was previously reported stolen.Matika placed him on probation for six months and ordered he render 25 hours of community service.Eudomar Concepcion, 20, of Hazleton pleaded to one count of disorderly conduct, as a summary offense. A charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was dropped.He was arrested on May 11, 2014, following a vehicle stop along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge.Matika imposed a fine of $300 and costs,Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
