Tamaqua YMCA activities

The Tamaqua YMCA has a number of new activities scheduled for February.

Healthy eating and exerciseA healthy eating and exercise program for children between the ages of 5 and 8. Classes will be held every Thursday, beginning Feb. 4, and run for six weeks. Children will learn proper stretching and exercising and have the opportunity to create their own healthy snacks. The goal is to teach children how to make healthy lifestyle changes.'Kids Eat Your Own Artwork'The YMCA's Jack and Jill Preschool will present a "Kids Eat Your Own Artwork" program at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 11. A Pampered Chef consultant will host the event. All food items will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own additions to make their creation unique. Children must be accompanied by an adult.'Daddy-Daughter Dance'The "Daddy-Daughter Dance" will be held from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 27. It's open to girls between the ages of 4 and 12 and their fathers/significant male role models. Music will be provided by a local disc jockey.
