Sunday worship services at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The service of healing and blessing of the prayer shawls will be included during the 8:30 worship. The Service of Healing with prayers and the "laying on of hands" are said for those to help ease one's emotional, physical and spiritual burdens.Prayer shawls are handmade by volunteers, each stitch a spiritual practice. Prayer shawls wrap, comfort, shelter, beautify and celebrate love. The shawls are available free of charge to yourself or as a gift for someone adjusting to a life passage/transition.Coffeehouse fellowship is at 9:30.Preschool students from the Jack and Jill Preschool will take part during the 11 a.m. worship with songs and messages that celebrate families. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides at both worship services.Sunday school for students age 3 through grade six begin at 9:45 a.m.First Tuesday quiet communion worship is 10 a.m. Feb. 2.Regarding the need to cancel worship services due to inclement weather: Check cancellations on WFMZ or Channel 13.
