Edna Kozel recently celebrated her 100th birthday. She was born in Lansford on Jan. 13, 1916, to John and Mary Salesky.

She was married to Stephen "Chirp" Kozel until his death in 2000.She has one son, Edward, who is married to Florence. They live in Lansford.Edna has two grandchildren: Eileen and Steven, who passed away in 1998.She has two great-grandchildren: Hayley and Jacob, both of Annapolis.Edna worked for Kitty Klose in Lansford for 42 years. She is a lifetime member of St. Peter and Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Lansford.Her birthday was celebrated at Weatherwood, where she now resides.
