A total of 11 defendants in pending driving under the influence cases entered guilty pleas to DUI and related counts on Monday in Carbon County court.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II accepted pleas from the following:Gregory Cadugan Jr.,45, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to two counts of DUI in separate incidents.He was arrested on Sept. 1, 2014, along Route 209 in Lehighton by state police at Lehighton with the second arrest occurring on May 4, 2015, along Route 248 at Bowmanstown, also by state police at Lehighton. In both incidents a test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.Nanovic had to defer sentencing so Cadugan could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Joshua Earl Tanner,30, of Sciota, was arrested on July 3, 2015, along Railroad Street in Weissport by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Tanner could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Rosa Anglea Fritts,35, of Palmerton was arrested on May 1, 2013, along Route 248 at Palmerton by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance. She was initially stopped for speeding, 80 mph in a 55 zone.She has a probation revocation proceeding pending in Northampton County it was noted.Nanovic sentenced her to serve 90 days to five years in jail, pay a fine of $2,500, license suspended for 18 months and supply the adult probation office with an updated drug and alcohol report.She was given credit for 82 days already spent in jail on the charge. When she completes the eight days remaining on her sentence she will be taken to the Northampton County prison.Ayetun Mya-Hling,43, of Allentown, was arrested on July 8, 2015, along Pohopoco Drive in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed 0.25 BAC. He was arrested at a checkpoint operation.Nanovic sentenced him to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $1,500 and license suspended for a year.He will begin the jail term at 10 a.m. on Feb. 26 and serve three days and on March 3 at 10 a.m. and serve two days.Matthew Peter Koch,28, of Quakertown, was arrested on May 8, 2015, along Indian Hill Road in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance. He also pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.Sentencing was deferred so Koch could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for the intermediate punishment program.Nicholas John Cerino,27, of Washington, Washington County, was arrested on Feb. 13, 2014, by Franklin Township police along Route 209. A test showed 0.12 BAC. Cerino was involved in a rollover crash.Nanovic said because of Cerino's previous DUI offenses, which occurred in a short period of time, he would not sentence him to the mandatory minimum of 48 hours but instead imposed a prison term of 10 days to six months, fine of $1,500 and license suspended for a year.He began the jail term immediately.Chandra Deanna Faison,40, of Philadelphia, was arrested on March 23, 2013 along Route 209 by Franklin Township police. A test showed 0.23 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so she could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Ramon Junior Berrios,56, of Allentown, was arrested on July 19, 2015, along Pohopoco Drive in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. He had an 11-year-old juvenile in the vehicle at the time. He also pleaded to one count of endangering the welfare of a child.He is facing a probation violation petition in Lehigh County. Nanovic noted that the charges Berrios pleaded to both carry prison terms.Sentencing was deferred so Berrios could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation. Nanovic also ordered a presentence investigation report be prepared by the adult probation office.Stanley A. Nowicki,27, of Philadelphia, and formerly of Albrightsville, was arrested on July 5, 2015, along Route 443 by Lehighton police. A test showed 0.18 BAC.Nanovic sentenced him to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, and license suspended for a year.He will serve the prison term on Jan. 29 beginning at 10 p.m. for two days; Feb. 5, 10 p.m. for two days; and Feb. 12 10 p.m. for one day.Jason Eliot Gaudreau,34, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Sept. 2, 2015, along Long Run Road in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred at the request of the defendant.Kent Allen Vanbuskirk,53, of Fleetwood, Berks County, was arrested on Sept. 20, 2015, along Route 209 in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed 0.23 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Vanbuskirk could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
