A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating the cause of a blaze the destroyed a Tuscarora resin factory on Sunday.

However officials say damage to the building might be too extensive to pinpoint a cause other than to determine the probable point of origin.The 18,000-square-foot industrial building at 140 Walnut St. in Tuscarora, just off Old Route 209, erupted into flames late Sunday morning.Business owners are Ben Verta of Lansford and Mike Miller of Tamaqua.The Schuylkill Township operation employed five full-time workers and was looking to add three additional staffers.Despite best attempts by firefighters from Schuylkill and Carbon counties, the structure and all of its contents were destroyed.Tuscarora Fire Chief Thomas Slane Jr. said the fire marshal was summoned to the site Sunday night due to the extent of the fire and the fact it was a commercial or industrial type building.Slane expects to rule the fire cause as undetermined.
