A New Tripoli man faces charges after firefighters discovered equipment used to make methamphetamine as they doused a Lynn Township house fire Monday.
William J. Riegel, 32, is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release issued by state police at Fogelsville.At about 7:30 a.m., firefighters were working to extinguish a blaze at a house on Madison Street when they found the equipment.When Riegel was taken into custody, he was found to have oxycodone. He was taken to Lehigh County central booking for processing and arraignment. He's being held on $50,000 cash bail.The state police Clandestine Laboratory response Team assisted with the investigation.
