Mahoning Township Police continue to investigate a pair of thefts that took place earlier this month at Walmart stores in Mahoning and Rush townships.

The most recent theft took place when an unidentified man failed to stop after begin confronted by employees for taking items from the Walmart in Mahoning Township.Township police said that at 7:31 p.m. Jan. 11, police were dispatched to the store for a retail theft after loss prevention reported a male had stolen merchandise valued at $449.32.The man arrived at the store as a passenger in a vehicle. As he was leaving with the items, he was confronted by employees.He failed to stop, pushing the stolen merchandise down the store access road, before being picked up by a waiting vehicle.Anyone with information is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police.In a separate incident, Mahoning Township police are also in search of a pair of unidentified males who committed several retail thefts at the stores in Mahoning and Rush townships.Mahoning Township Police said a retail theft occurred at 5:54 p.m. Jan. 2, when two men filled a cart with Apple TVs and HP AIO computers valued at $3,908.22. They then fled the store with the items.The men performed a similar theft at 12:30 a.m. at the Hometown Walmart, which is being investigated by Rush Township Police.Anyone with information is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police.
